It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

New York Comic-Con is Coming!

The East Coast's biggest comic-con is coming up, and I'll be a first-time guest in Artist Alley. I'm pretty excited. I've been an attendee for years, but this is my first time behind a table in Artist Alley!

You can find me at table E15, where I'll have Hero Business comics and merchandise, along with prints and cards of my artwork.

I'll also be taking commissions at the show on a first-come, first-serve basis. If anyone wants to be guaranteed a piece, just contact me before the show. I plan to get a few done at home to bring along if I have the time. Commissions are $25/character if you order ahead of the show, and they'll be $30 at the show.
